Much of what we do, we are able to do because of our lovely partners:

H&M
Swedish retailer H&M has been instrumental in the visibility and success of Designers against AIDS and its mission through the global ‘Fashion against AIDS’ collections and awareness campaigns (an idea of Designers against AIDS), that ran for 5 years and that included celebrities such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Roisin Murphy, Timbaland, Chicks on Speed, Lou Douillon, Elizabeth Jagger, Yoko Ono, Cyndi Lauper and many more. The collections raised almost 14 million euros, that were donated to 4 international HIV charities that work with youth.

JBC
From 2011 until 2015 Belgian retailer JBC organized ‘DAA by JBC’, collections where 25% of all sales benefitted the work of Designers Against AIDS. There were fashion collections with Belgian celebs such as An Lemmens, César Casier, top model Yumi Lambert and singer Lio, but also bodywear, scented candles, condoms -and even socks!

A&U Magazine
Art & Understanding, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. The mission of Art & Understanding, Inc.’s A&U magazine is to collect, archive, publish and distribute the growing body of art, activism, and current events emanating from the AIDS pandemic. It was created for the HIV-affected community. A&U has a soft place in their heart for DAA and always helps us in any way possible.

Antwerp Pride
Antwerp Pride commemorates and celebrates the long journey forwards acceptance and equal opportunities the LGBTQIA+ community has made. A journey that continues, for acceptance is never a given and there is still exclusion, discrimination and violence against LGBTQIA + both in our country and abroad. By giving a platform to the many voices within our community we wish to empower our community, educate and sensitize the general public and build bridges between the many actors in our society. Entrepreneurs, the city council, the cultural world, ngo’s, academia…
They love DAA and we love them right back.

European Voluntary Service
Since 2007, ECAS has been coordinating and hosting volunteers from across Europe to enjoy a life experience in the European capital under the European Voluntary Service (EVS). Designers Against AIDS’s ‘International HIV/AIDS Awareness Education Center’ (IHAEC) hosted many students from all over Europe from 2010 until 2015 thanks to EVS.

Levi's
Everybody knows Levi’s and has at least one of their products in their wardrobe. In 2014 they started their Pride Collections benefitting international HIV/AIDS NGO’s and we worked together in 2017- not just with a collection, but we also gave lectures in Brussels, Berlin, Amsterdam and Madrid and attended a panel discussion in London.

ESSENTIEL Antwerp
For AW16, Essentiel teamed up with Designers Against AIDS (DAA). The result was a capsule collection inspired by punk couture and 90s club culture with the profits of the sales going to DAA to create awareness about HIV/AIDS. Essentiel Antwerp co-founder and creative director Inge Onsea considers it essential to support organizations such as DAA. There was also a very cool video as part of the campaign.

Delvaux
Delvaux is Belgium’s most revered leather brand. It used to be very classic, but by hiring cool creative directors, they became very popular with younger people too. When Véronique Branquinho was creative designer at Delvaux, she created beautiful leather condom pouches for Valentine’s Day 2010, that became instant must-haves. All proceeds benefitted our work.

Arts Thread
Arts Thread is the world’s leading platform for new creatives from all fields, showcasing portfolios, events, competitions and more. Several competitions were done together with (and for) Designers against AIDS.

International Talent Support
International Talent Support was launched in 2002 and throughout its 20-year history it has developed into the most highly recognised platform to showcase & support the strongest young talents on the planet. It has built an impressive Creative Archive, a unique collection tracing the history of fashion evolution and many of the 630 finalists were selected by top fashion brands where they now hold key positions, or have successfully developed their own lines. By building and fueling the ITS Creative Archive, they have now opened ITS Arcademy, a global training ground for creativity combining the exhibition concept with a learning environment.

Eastpak
DAA works with Eastpak on their ‘Eastpak Artist Studio’ projects. Since its 2010 launch, the Eastpak Artist Studio has produced some of the coolest, most original and artistically innovative backpack designs that have hit the streets – and the project only gets better. Designers and other creatives so far include Jean Paul Gaultier (who also made a commercial collection afterwards, partly benefitting the work of DAA), Jacquemus, Demna Gvasalia (VETEMENTS, Kenzo, Walter Van Beirendonck, Nicopanda (Nicola Formichetti) and many more.

Marc Jacobs
US designer Marc Jacobs loves DAA – he created 3 different T-shirts together with Playboy Design with all proceeds benefitting our work (they were also shown during fashion weeks in NYC, London, Milan and Paris), he sold our book ‘Designers Against AIDS- The First Decade’ in his Bookmarc stores and in 2015 Marc created 3 new T-shirts for DAA, featuring pictures of Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski and Cara Delevingne from a shoot for Katie Grand’s LOVE Magazine (now called PERFECT). They also had a launch in the Bookmarc store in NYC during fashion week.
